How To Beat the Competitors with Your Company Profile!

Under a competitive bidding situation, perception becomes everything, especially in a corporate world.
In a situation where you will not be physically present, you will be accessed by the content and the look of your company/business profile.

Many business opportunities have been lost because of unprofessionally written profile. As I mentioned in my past article, your profile is your company curriculum vitae (CV), to get a very professional Profile, you need to check on the very best personal CV of a competent professional!

So what do you look up in a professional CV? The first thing you look for is the qualification of the individuals, what has that got to do with your Profile? Well, plenty actually! Has your company been awarded a plaque recently? Do you have a special qualification as a professional? Any industry related qualification? e.g ICAN, ACCA, MNCE, CCIE, CPA, CFA, NIM, etc, you got the point right? Any industry related qualification will add to your credibility, so put it in your profile!

Another thing you look for is the experience of the person isn't it? This represent the work you have done in the past. So who have your company/business served? Give a list of the organizations/clients you have worked with. The more the better, especially if you have worked with reputable organizations, this will give you credibility which you really need to give you an edge over others.

Also, you want to know the competence of the individual in a personal resume. In your Profile, you list your core competences, what set you apart from the competitors, where your strength is. Please you have got to really lay emphases on your core competences and how it is going to help your clients achieve there goals and objectives. Do you have professionals with years of experience in corporate development? Or is yours on Online Marketing and Advertising? May be you have built a team of construction experts who have very deep understanding of building construction or road construction, whichever the case is, or your own team are experts in interior decoration with eyes for color matching. Whatever competence you have developed must be emphasized.

Furthermore, references are provided inside the CV right? Good. So what has that got to do with your Profile? Do you have credible people in the board of the company? Include them, it makes your company look corporate and establish you as a very professional and serious business. You don't have credible people yet? Not to worry, list at least ten people you can talk to and ask them for the permission to use their name in your profile, you are sure of positive feedback from at least 5 of them, who knows, some may even want to invest in your company!

One more thing that is very important is your team members' individual profile! Don't forget to include their experiences, competences, qualifications and special trainings they might have received. Treat them as invaluable assets that they are. Include any of their past projects they worked on, any company they have been with, any award, special achievement, and special contribution they have made in the course of their work life.
